July 28th, 2022
Dear Woodlake Elementary Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year and our wonderful learning community at Woodlake Elementary School! We are incredibly excited and looking forward to working with you to ensure all students feel welcomed, connected and part of our Woodlake family. Our highly qualified team of teachers and support staff is committed to providing our students with exceptional opportunities/experiences both inside and outside the classroom—from rigorous academic instruction to engaging visual and performing arts activities and our after school enrichment and tutoring program.
Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, is the first day of school.  Please note our school hours have changed for the 2022-2023 school year.
School hours:
Breakfast:           6:50 a.m. – 7:20 a.m.
School starts    7:30 a.m.
School ends:      2:12 p.m.
Twin Rivers Unified School District has Early Release Wednesdays. All students will start school at the same time every day and will be released two hours early every Wednesday for staff Professional Learning Time (PLT). Early Release Wednesday hours are 7:30 a.m. to 12:12 p.m.  Woodlake Elementary offers after school enrichment program daily until 6 p.m.  If you are interested in your student attending the ASES program, please sign up on the website under the families/extended learning tabs.
Our office will reopen on August 3rd, 2022. Office hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Back to School Night is scheduled for September 1st at 5:30 p.m.  You will learn more about your children’s classrooms, our curriculum, homework policies and important ways to help make this school year a success for your family.
We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that your student:
  • Attends school daily and arrives on time
  • Completes all homework assignments
  • Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
  • Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of their school life
We have several family events planned for the school year. Please consider serving on our School Site Council (SSC), English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), joining the parent teacher association (PTA) and/or attending our monthly Coffee and Conversation get together with the principal. If you have questions, please feel free to call the school at (916) 566-2755.  You can also visit our school website for information.
To stay informed of all that is taking place at Woodlake, please be sure to have an updated cell phone number and email address to receive information via our ParentSquare messaging system.
Warmest regards,
Debra Chandler
